Librarian's Review

Two years have passed since the Ojibwe were kicked off their land by white people.  Omakayas, now twelve years old, travels with her family to find friendly relatives and a new place to settle.  There is no direct reference to historical events in this novel, but it is a good depiction of daily life, the resourcefulness of her family, and the hardship of relocation.  This story is not as compelling as the first two installments of the quintet.
